Context 2/Feature 1 was first defined as amorphous mottling and staining at the base of Context 001. Took on rectangular shape during excavation (although the shape can be seen in the Level 1 photos, in hindsight). There seems to be a channel entering from the west. Small shallow apparent extentions on the N & S are where the excavator followed a plow scar. Excavation not completed to base of feature due to time constraints. |
